REPRODUCTION
For reproduction, the overarching principle at High Pointe is for the mare to receive individual treatment from insemination to foaling, and for dam and foal then to continue to receive tailored attention, with foal training, also provided right up through the filly or colts early years. The state of the art facility set on 60 acres.

• Reproductive evaluation includes an examination of the vulva region: palpation and ultra sonography of the reproductive tract, vaginal speculum examination, and culture, cytology and, if need be, biopsy of the uterus. Then the owner is informed on the findings and recommendations are then made regarding treatment and breeding.
• Cooled and frozen semen is delivered through our processing center. Upon arrival of the frozen semen, placement in nitrogen containment is done immediately. One thawed, the frozen semen has short life span verses the cooled semen and is inseminated immediately.
• Fertility Analysis program provides routine ultra sound examinations, which accurately ascertain ovarian and uterine characteristics. Knowing these results help establish the special breeding needs for managing each mare.
• Evaluation of follicle growth, determination of appropriate breeding time, ordering evaluation and insemination of semen, and assessment of any potential complications.
• Embryo transfer program (with on-site recipient herd) has been successful for the donor mare and the recipient. For an older mare that no longer have the uterine competency to maintain a pregnancy, the embryo is transferred to a younger, more reproductively sound mare. Owners that may use their mares in competition have found our embryo transfer program to be valuable if they want to have a foal while remaining in competition. This allows them to continue showing and performing.
